We take pride in caring for others. But how are we to care for others if we don’t first take time to care for ourselves? We can't fill glasses when our pitcher is empty.
I have designed a model that helps us discover our needs for happiness:
The Self Care Model
My model focuses on the following eight areas to help you earn your best life.
Time management:
Are you making the most use of your time? Do you procrastinate?
How many times do you say “I am too busy?”
Gratitude
The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. At the end of the day, what is one good thing that happened? Forget the “bad”. This will lead to a beautiful way of thinking.
Organization
Organization saves time
Outer order brings inner peace. Enough said.
Thoughts
Our thoughts create our actions which gives us the result.
Ambitions
What are your goals?
Where do you want to be in 2 years? Five years?
Looking ahead, what will you regret doing or not doing today?
Relationships
Weed your garden. The individuals/things in our lives that are not necessary need to go.
Diet
A diet is what you eat daily and has no end date.
Exercise
Our bodies are designed to move. Being sedentary is disrespecting your body.
The following eight weeks will cover each of these areas in great detail.
Until then, take care!
