Don't wait to "feel better"
Setting a worthwhile goal is neither easy nor quick. It is human nature to want to rush the process so we can “be happy and feel better” now. Achieving your goal is basic math. Controlling the way you feel in the process is a choice.
This is written to all the ladies out there, but guys, feel free to adopt the thinking used here and choose what actions and steps will allow you to respect yourself now.
Exercise for five minutes each morning,, first thing
Try a new hair style/color. Find a few styles you want to try and trust your stylist. If you aren't looking for a new style all-together, try out different techniques to work with your current style.
Take a class on make-up application and purchase make-up tailored to your skin.
Treat yourself to regular manicures or purchase a few shades you like and polish your own nails and you will always be wearing something pretty
Wear workout gear that makes you feel feminine; you are no longer allowed to wear your college-days t-shirts or your husbands shorts!
Don't save your “good” clothes and jewelry. You purchased that special piece to be worn, not saved.
Splurge and spend a little more on a few cosmetic brands you have always wanted to try.
The first thing most people notice about a person is their smile. Teeth whitening systems are very cost effective nowadays and can be done safely at home. In addition, an electric toothbrush will do wonders for keeping those teeth clean and healthy.
I hope you are already taking your lunch to work and a snack bag when traveling. A pretty lunch bag will allow you to feel confident and proud of making the healthy choice to meal plan ahead of time and save money, time and calories eating out.
Increased water consumption is one of the most important steps you can do to improve your health right now! Water bottles are fine when traveling for convenience, but they are not environment-friendly and they can become costly. The average cost of a reusable water bottle is appx. $10 to $15. Not only does this save money and waste in the long run, finding a water bottle that you are proud to carry and enjoy drinking from will be a tremendous benefit when it comes to consuming the recommended water intake: ½ your body weight in ounces of water daily.
Choose from a few or many of the choices above and be confident of the person you are today!
Until next time, take care!
