5 Ways a Health Coach can Help You Achieve Your New Year's Resolutions

This past year has been one for the books for sure! But look at us, we made it! As we leave the bad of 2020 behind us, we can’t forget to carry and cherish the good memories of 2020 into 2021 with us.

I received calls from many individuals who were having a tough time getting through it and I was so pleased to be able to offer personalized health coaching! I have been a certified health coach for over six years and I absolutely love it! Health coaching is my passion and I look forward to walking along-side individuals helping them keep and rock their New Year's resolutions!

My youngest daughter Macy was telling me the other day about how sometimes she makes plans and then when the day comes, she no longer feels like completing that task. We talked about how when she writes down these plans or tells someone about them, she feels the accountability to complete them. This is common for many people. Oftentimes, telling someone your plans, goals, ideas, etc. creates a sense of commitment that you are lacking without the accountability aspect that a health coach provides.

A Health Coach is beneficial when speaking of New Year’s resolutions in 5 ways:

  1. A health coach provides accountability. When your appointment is made, your health coach, just like any other coach, expects you to show up and work towards your goals in an organized and timely manner.

  2. A health coach is often your confidant, someone who is essentially trained to know your secrets and to help deal with them under confidentiality.

  3. A health coach is your advocate, one who is your support system in all steps of your health journey.

  4. A health coach encourages healthy, steady behavioral change by providing tips on breaking bad habits and replacing them with beneficial actions.

  5. A health coach is simply your person who will start where you are and take you to where you want to be. As your health coach, I will personally guide you through possibly the toughest battle you face… the one with and within your own body.
