Ever tried Tennis? Looks like we should!

We have been inside for months on end it seems, doing the same workouts; treadmill runs, various exercise videos, and weight training to name a few.

The summer is here and it's time to move outdoors. I have attached a list of outdoor activities and calories burned.

Walking 250 to 450

Biking About 500

Rollerblading up to 600-800 (WOW)

Tennis 400 to 500

Badminton 450 to 520

Swimming 450 to 700

Kayaking 200 to 400

Cornhole appx 150

Frisbee 220 to 300 Frisbee golf 400 to 600

Softball/baseball appx 350

Hiking 50 to 100

Golfing 250 to 480 (with a cart; 18 holes)

Fishing 130 to 175


The number of calories burned depends on your weight and the intensity of your level of play.

Studies show that we are more apt to stick to an exercise we enjoy so put on that sunscreen and head outdoors!
